   Parent Tutor Corporation’s mission is to be the premier facilitator of meaningful parental involvement.

We accomplish this mission through two distinct divisions in the company.

Getting Parents Involved is an academic model for parental involvement.  This tool provides schools and school districts with the materials to properly implement a parental involvement and community outreach program.  These materials include hundreds of articles for the school administrator to send home on various topics including homework, study habits, nutrition, and many more.  Videos for parent training are provided for back-to-school nights and other parent functions.  Hundreds of parent-friendly activities are provided on the school’s web site and in print to make today’s educational objectives easy to understand for parents.  A teacher portal provides access to all of the activities and to a database of over 40,000 books lexiled to the reading level with the ability to select books by the interest of the individual student.  Customization of the activity database is easy to fit a wide variety of school uses. This service is provided for grades K – 8 in the subject areas of Mathematics, Science, Reading, and Language Arts. These very informative activity booklets are provided in both English and Spanish.

Parent Tutor is a tutorial service designed specifically for parents to give their child an academic edge. Customized tutorials are delivered each week by email to facilitate the parent as the tutor for their child. A new reading selection is provided each week that matches the student's interests and reading level. Articles by top educators keep the parent "in the know."  All of our columns are reviewed by a group of academic experts that make up our Editorial Advisory Committee.  Our web site, www.parenttutor.com gives the parent access to all the tutorials for each grade in English and Spanish as well the complete 40,000 book database.

We believe that education is the most important thing in a child's life and the parent is an important part of the process.  School board members, district and school administrative staff, and teachers are important to the child's education.  Our editorial policy is that all articles and activities are written to support the efforts of our teachers and support personnel.
